Everything in the back yard has suddenly started making flowers or putting out new leaves or pushing out new branches.

The little tomato plants that seemed as if they really wanted to just croak have discovered Jesus or something, and they’re growing by inches daily.

I am especially interested in the progress of these tomato plants. Last year I managed to grow one plant and it made bazillions of tomatoes…which were all eaten by birds and squirrels and other unseen creatures. I wrapped the plant in bird netting and even tried putting up shiny things that supposedly would repel the birds.

Yeah, right.

Now, supposedly, all of the little creatures will leave these tomatoes alone because they’re yellow. We’ll see.

This could very well be the last time I try to grow tomatoes, which is a sad thought because I love to eat them!

So sayeth the StickMonkey.
