It’s a cold winter’s night in Houston.

Okay, so it’s really about 50 degrees – not that cold. But I have a sinus infection and I’m miserable. I might as well be living in the Arctic tundra.

Hot chocolate sounded just wonderful.

But, is there any hot chocolate mix in the house? No. The only thing close to chocolate I can find in the pantry is a box of cacao nibs.

Cacao nibs?

I wasn’t quite sure but I thought it had to do something with chocolate. So I did what any enterprising StickMonkey would do: I googled it.

And not only did I find out what cacao nibs really are, I also discovered that you can use them to make hot chocolate.

So I followed the instructions .

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to make hot chocolate any other way again.

So sayeth the StickMonkey.
