As part of its 50th anniversary celebration, the privately held, family-run McKee Foods Corporation is sponsoring a contest to find a real-life version of the Little Debbie image on its best-selling snack cake brand.

Here’s the interesting twist:

The current image representing Little Debbie is actually an illustration rendered from a photograph of the brand founders’ granddaughter.

The winner of look-alike contest wins a $5,000 college scholarship.

McKee Foods Corporation has sold more than 157 billion Little Debbie snacks since the brand became available in stores in 1960.

I cannot claim to have contributed to this amazing sales figure. I have never had the desire to stick a Little Debbie in my mouth.

So sayeth the StickMonkey.
