Back in June, after we got back from our vacation in Denver, I noticed I had a pesky pain in my left hip. I thought it was a pinched nerve.

But it wasn’t.

Idiopathic Avascular Necrosis Syndrome.

Idiopathic meaning that it’s not possible to pinpoint a cause.

So, on October 13, I underwent total hip replacement surgery. I couldn’t believe that only two hours after waking up in the recovery room I was up and sitting in bed…and then an hour later taking a few steps around the room.

But I have an agenda. I’ve got things to do, places to go.

So sayeth the StickMonkey.
